How To Edit Page/Post Content on your WordPress Website

  1. Log into your WordPress administration panel using your assigned user account and url (usually, or similar)
  2. Using the navigation on the left, click Pages
  3. From the list of pages, select the one you wish to edit
  4. Now you will see the editing screen with an HTML/Visual editor containing the page content – Make sure you are using the Visual tab (unless you would like to edit the HTML code)
  5.  Modify or add content as desired – Note the familiar formatting options: Bold, Italics, Lists, Links, etc.For even more formatting options (Headings, text color, etc.) click the Kitchen Sink button
  6. When you are satisfied with your edits, click the blue Update button (Publish, if it’s a new page or post) to the right of the content box (if you like, you can also preview pages using the Previewbutton above the update button)

It did not help me (I was still unable to edit my WordPress website).

These steps will absolutely enable you to edit your WordPress pages & posts, so I don’t understand what you mean.
Maybe you can expand on what you’re trying to do… If you give me some more information I might be able to point you in the right direction.
